Officials from the forestry Department say thus far for the year 2014 they have been very successful in their sensitization programs which are aimed at having Vincentians desist from poisoning rivers.
Forestry Officer, Bradford Latham, said thus far they have only recorded three incidents of River poisoning for the year.
He said while there are challenges they are continuing to increase their public sensitization programs to ensure that people are informed about the dangers of river poisoning.
He also outlined the areas where they have recorded cases of river poisoning and he is also appealing to members of the public to stop this act.
