A three day preparatory meeting is being held here for the United Nations Small Islands Development States Conference to be held in September this year.
The meeting hosted by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean ECLAC is being attended by experts represented by Caribbean states at the UN.
During her remarks at yesterday’s meeting Sub Regional Officer of ECLAC Diane Quarles pointed to the importance of the preparatory meeting.
Miss Quarles highlighted some of the critical issues affecting Small Island Developing States SIDS.
