The St. Vincent Girls High School received the Award of Distinction at a ceremony yesterday, after emerging winner in the 2014 RBTT/RBC Young Leader’s Competition.
The Intermediate High School received the Award of Excellence for placing second, while the Award of Merit was presented to the Adelphi Secondary School for placing third.
The Judge’s Award went to the St. Joseph Convent Marriaqua and the most outstanding Young Leader Award went to Jeremy King of the St. Martin’s Secondary School.
Delivering the feature address at yesterday’s Awards Ceremony, Magistrate Rechanne Browne Matthias spoke on the issue of diversity, noting that human being have a lot in common, despite their differences.
Eight Schools participated in this year’s competition, which was held under the theme: Diversity: The 21st Century Imperative.
