St. Vincent and the Grenadians is joining the Global Community to observe World Environment Day today under the theme “Raise your voice, not the sea level.”
The Ministry of Health says the day is being observed with the aim of raising awareness of the unique development challenges and successes as it relates to the environment
It says individuals and Community groups here will participate in several activities – from clean up campaigns to tree-planting drives to observe the day.
Meanwhile … Regional Supervisor at the Extension Unit in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Leroy Jackson says Vincentians need to pay closer attention to issues relating to climate change.
