The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has launched an initiative aimed at improving the nutritional value of foods being offered to students at primary and secondary educational institutions here.
The School Nutrition Project is the collaborative effort of the Ministry of health, the Ministry of Education and the Mustique charitable Trust, which is financing the project.
Chief Nutritionist in the Ministry of Health and Coordinator of the project, Andrea Robin, said the project will run for a period of two years.
Mrs. Robin said main objective of the project is to instill healthy eating habits in the nation’s children.
