The local police force says it is committed to producing highly trained and well-rounded police officers as part of its thrust to tackle crime and violence in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
That’s according to Station Sergeant Malam Cuffy of the Police Training School at Old Montrose, during the Police On the Beat programme aired on NBC Radio on Monday night.
Station Sergeant Cuffy said the training course encompasses a number of subject areas, which are designed to ensure that police officers are better equipped to deal with the public.
Station Sergeant Cuffy said the police force is seeking to recruit young people with good moral values and character.
