Activities to observe Child Month 2014 continued today with the hosting of a Children’s Forum at the Memorial hall this morning, under the theme: “Let Peace Begin With Me”
Delivering remarks at the start of today’s forum, Student D’Mario Browne who received the National Award for Best CSEC Results after Remediation urged the youth in attendance to always strive for excellence.
Former Director of the Foundation for the Development of Caribbean Children (FDCC), Dr. Jules Ferdinand said while Child Month is observed during the month of May, every month of the year is Child Month.
He said every child is important despite their various differences and this must continue to be reflected in all of the programs which are developed for children.
