An appeal has been made for more Vincentians to recognize the importance of African Liberation Day.
This appeal was made by Chief Cultural Officer, Anthony Theobalds as a Rally and Exhibition were held last Sunday in the Diamond community as this country joined with others around the world to celebrate African Liberation Day.
Mr. Theobalds said the African Liberation Day Committee is on a quest to ensure that people of African descent under and appreciate their history and heritage.
He said today people of African Descent still face many of the struggles which their ancestors faced.
Mr. Theobalds said the objective of African Liberation is to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment into people of African Descent.
