St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Women’s Team played to a goalless draw with the United States Virgin Islands in their second match of Group (1) of the Caribbean Leg of the CONCACAF 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Football Tournament in Antigua and Barbuda last evening night.
The result has put St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 4 points in the Points Table and second to host Antigua and Barbuda who have won their two matches to tally 6 points.
Tomorrow, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda meet. St. Vincent and the Grenadines must win the match to guarantee qualification to the next round of the Tournament, but a draw will leave them with a chance to still advance to the next round of qualification.
The five Group winners and the two best second places from the Caribbean Zone Qualifying Tournament will join host country Trinidad and Tobago to contest the inaugural Women’s Caribbean Cup Finals.
