Valley Netters defeated Layou 29-19 yesterday in the Hairoun South Leeward Community Netball Championship at the Campden Park Hard Court.
Joanna Christopher scored 19 goals from 19 attempts for Valley Netters and Joslyn Jeffers scored 10 goals from 15 attempts for Layou.
And, Star Girls narrowly edged out Roucha Bay Combined 20-19.
Kay-shorn Lowman 15 goals from 18 tries for Star Girls and Tamara Baptiste scored 11 goals from 15 attempts for Roucha Bay Combined.
The Championship will continue tomorrow.
