Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has given the assurance that the International Airport at Argyle is being constructed in accordance with the highest international standards.
The Prime Minister gave this assurance, as he discussed progress being made in constructing the airport, during a News Conference this week.
Dr. Gonsalves was referring to concerns being expressed in some quarters, about a part of the runway which was assessed to be not up to standard.
The Prime Minister made it clear that the Quality Assurance Unit at the IADC is adequately equipped to ensure that international standards are always maintained on thje project.
