Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey says they are continuing to work on projects in areas which were affected by the Flash Floods which occurred in April 2011.
Mr. Bailey tells NBC News that they are currently developing the Natural Disaster Management Project and he hopes they can launch tenders for work under this program by June.
He said under this project which is being funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) they expect to undertake work in areas such as Gorse Mountain Road and the Byera Bridge among others.
Mr. Bailey said they will also be conductying river training in a number of rivers across the country to remove the debris that was brought down by the floods of April 2011 and December 2013.
He said they expect to start this work by June.
