A new element will be introduced to the Annual Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics or STEM Summer Camp, held at the St. Martin’s Secondary School.
Director of the programme Petrus Gumbs says the programme is designed to assist students in enhancing their knowledge of technology, and to prepare them for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.
Mr. Gumbs says, although most of the students are computer literate they lack the skills needed to create the programs and applications used in modern technology. He said, with this in mind, organisers of the camp have introduced a new element called robotics.
Mr. Gumbs said interested students can visit their website at www.stemsvg.com where they can access registration forms or they can also collect them at the St. Marten Secondary School.
He said the deadline for registration for the Summer Camp is June 15th and it will get going on July 14th.
