St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been ranked 17 among countries in the world when it comes to freedom of the press.
This is according to the latest edition of Freedom House’s Press Freedom Survey.
This country’s ranking comes despite the organization reporting that global press freedom has fallen to its lowest level in over a decade, the decline driven in part by major regression in several Middle Eastern States.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines was ranked with countries such as Jamaica, Germany, and Marshall Islands.
Neighbouring islands St. Lucia ranks 15; Barbados 18; St. Kitts and Nevis 20; Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago 25.
