Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Luis DeShong says the Ministry is continuing to strengthen its capacity to improve the health of Vincentians so as to reduce pressures on the health-care system.
Mr. DeShong was delivering remarks at a lecture focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health last night at Frenches House.
He said the Ministry has a long history of implementing policies to tackle the multi-faceted issues and challenges presented by Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Meanwhile … Family and Community Health Advisor for the Pan American Health Organization, Dr. Beryl Irons says that universal access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Services are essential for countries.
The event was organized by the St. Vincent Planned Parenthood Association, to coincide with Global Day of Action.
