Chief Nutritionist in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment Andrea Robin said their aim is to create an environment where people make healthy choices for living.
She tells NBC News that this is part of the ongoing thrust to address the problem of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (CNCD’s).
Mrs. Robin said they are continuing to work in a number of different areas to ensure a healthy population.
She noted that for their programs to be successful then the population has to work along with the Government.
Mrs. Robin also highlighted the need for more healthy foods to be made available for Vincentians.
She is also appealing to vendors to desist from offering salt to fruits when offering them for sale to children.
