St. Vincent and the Grenadines and other countries in the Caribbean community CARICOM have made significant progress in implementing CARICOM Trade and Competitiveness Project, CTCP, which is being funded by the Government of Canada.
This assurance came from this country’s Ambassador to CARICOM, Ellsworth John, as he addressed the opening of a consultation being held to discuss the implementation of the CTCP.
Yesterday officials from the CARICOM and OECS Secretariats met with representatives from the relevant line Ministries, while today non-state actors are invited to contribute to the consultative process.
Ambassador John said the delegates are looking at draft legislation related to the CSME. And, he noted that significant progress has already been made in carrying forward this project.
