The Ministry of Transport and Works has said that rehabilitative work on the Langley Park Bridge in Georgetown is progressing smoothly.
The Bridge was damaged as a result of flash floods which occurred in April 2011.
Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey tells NBC News, that the Contractors Franco Construction is continuing their work on the revised designs of the bridge.
He said while this work is continuing they are also continuing discussions for land acquisition with one of the residents in the community in the immediate vicinity of the bridge.
Mr. Bailey said they also have a River Defence project to conduct in the Basin Hole and Langley Park area.
He said they also have to commence a River Training program heading up into the Langley Park River.
