The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and ICT will host an Exhibition later this week to observe World Tele-communications and Information Society Day
The ICT Expo will be held at Heritage Square this Friday under the theme “Broadband for Sustainable Development”.
Administrative Assistant at the Web Unit in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ICT, Lonnie Robinson says the expo will feature exhibits from telecommunication providers and other entities that deal with telecommunication.
He says new this year is a Creative Arts Competition.
Mr. Robinson spoke about an Imitation Cake competition for members of the public.
The World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is observed annually to raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.
