A representative from the Faith Word Ministries of Dauphine is encouraging the public to attend their Mothers’ Day Prayer and Worship Program.
One of the organizers of the event, Raquel Creese tells NBC News that the program will be held as a special service for Mother’s Day while offering prayers for the nation.
Miss Crease said the service which begins at three on Sunday afternoon at Market Square in Kingstown is being held as the nation continues to see an increase in violent crimes.
Miss Crease is also appealing to the nation’s mothers to make an extra effort to attend Sunday’s special service as they pray for the nation.
