St. Vincent and the Grenadines is being heightened with technological advancements to monitor hurricane developments.
This comes as the country will receive its first visit from the U.S National hurricane center and the crew of the WC-130J also known as the “Hurricane Hunter” aircraft.
Speaking to NBC News, Deputy Director of the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) Michelle Forbes said the visit was negotiated by the Caribbean Meteorological Organization.
She said this visit will be greatly beneficial to this country.
Ms. Forbes said it is important that Vincentians capitalize on the use of the Hurricane Hunter.
The U.S National Hurricane Center is on a three country tour. They will be arriving this evening at 5 o’clock from Mexico and will proceed their tour onto Puerto Rico tomorrow evening.
