General Manager of the Housing and Land Development Corporation (HLDC), Elvis Charles says the Government is continuing to develop its No, Low and Middle Income Housing programs.
He said this is being done at the same time with the work currently being undertaken to re-construct homes which were destroyed by the floods of December 2013.
Several persons were displaced by the floods of December 2013, after their homes were damaged or destroyed.
Mr. Charles said they are presently finishing up seventeen houses in Green Hill while preparing to begin work on another ten.
Mr. Charles said they are also continuing work in the Clare Valley Community on the Disaster Reconstruction program and many people are employed under these programs.
He said he is confident that they will have all the homes reconstructed for persons affected by the December Disaster in the nine-month period which the Government had stipulated.
