Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel, said greater efforts must be made to eliminate violence from the education system in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Minister Miguel spoke on the issue, as she delivered a radio address to mark the start of Child Month 2014, which is being observed this month under the theme: Tolerance today for a violence free world tomorrow.
The slogan for this year’s activities is: “Let Peace Begin with me”.
In her message, Minister Miguel said violent children serves as a roadblock for other children’s future.
Minister Miguel said community involvement is crucial to the positive development of the nation’s youth.
