Farmers and other workers across the nation are being urged to take the necessary safety precautions when using chemical substances in their work.
The word of caution came from Minister of Labour, Maxwell Charles as he delivered a radio address to mark International Labour Day today.
Minister Charles noted that World Day for Safety and Health at Work was celebrated on Monday under the theme: Safety and Health in the Use of Chemicals at Work.
And, he stressed the importance of safe working conditions to protect the health of the nation’s work force.

A Fitness Walk and Rally was organised by the National Labour Congress to observe the day.
