West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago batsman Lendl Simmons has signed up with the Mumbai Indians after the Indian Premier League technical committee approved him as a replacement for JA-LAL SAX-E-NA.
SAX-E-NA had been ruled out for the season after sustaining a finger injury in his right hand during a training session.
Simmons joins fellow Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies player Kieron Pollard on the Mumbai Indians line-up and is likely to be available for Mumbai Indians’ next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad today.
