The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) says it is expecting the Internet Exchange Point IXP for St. Vincent and the Grenadines to be implemented soon.
An Internet Exchange Point is a physical structure through which Internet Service Providers exchange Internet traffic between their networks.
That’s according to Head of the NTRC, Apollo Knights, who said that after a few setbacks they are now on track to have the IXP Implemented in the next two months.
Mr. Knights said one of the areas that they have been paying significant attention to is the question of where to house the IXP.
Mr. Knights said they are also making progress in relation to the tenders’ process to procure the equipment which is necessary to establish the IXP.
