The Central Planning Division will host the Caribbean Growth Forum St. Vincent Chapter First Accountability Workshop today.
The Caribbean Growth Forum is an initiative led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank (WB), and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in collaboration with the United Kingdom Agency for International Development and the Canadian International Development Agency.
It seeks to identify policies and initiatives aimed at inducing growth and creating jobs in the Caribbean through inclusive dialogue and knowledge exchange.
The forum provides a platform for discussions around the growth challenge with a view to identifying practical and implementable solutions that inspire actions on three thematic areas: (1) logistics and connectivity (2) investment climate (3) skills and productivity.
The workshop will be held at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown from nine in the morning.
Addresses will be made by Tourism Minister Cecil McKie; Director of Planning Laura Anthony Browne; and representatives from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
