The Caribbean Farmers’ Network (CAFAN) says it has made significant progress in its efforts to expand the marketing of roots crops in the French market.
Chief Coordinator of CAFAN, Jethro Greene, tells NBC News that this is the result of an extensive marketing campaign aimed at securing greater market access for locally and regionally produced crops.
Mr. Greene said local farmers are expected to benefit from this market expansion and is encouraging all farmers to lift their levels of productivity to ensure sustainability of the market.
