St. Vincent and the Grenadines will join the rest of the in celebrating World day for health and safety at work on Monday.
As part of celebrations to commemorate the day, the labor department will be launching HIV and AIDS workplace policy.
During an interview with NBC news Deputy Labor Commissioner Bernadine Dublin said the HIV and AIDS workplace policy was first developed in 2013 where a pilot project was officially launched by the Department of Labour and the International Labour Organization.
Mrs. Dublin said Five enterprises will be launching polices for their workplace and disclosed that monitoring an evaluation will be done to ensure that the policies are being adhered to.
Monday’s event is expected to take place at the National Insurance Services Conference Room beginning at 9:00am and will hear remarks from permanent secretary in the ministry of health and a feature address from minister of Labour Maxwell Charles.
