Vincentians Garnett Brisbane and Dr. Geoff Edwards have been included into Cricket Canada’s Hall of Fame for their contribution to the Development of the Game in Canada.
Brisbane, a former Hairoun Club, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windward Islands batsman and left-arm leg-spinner was Captain of Canada’s Cricket Team for about two years and led the Team in the 1979 Cricket World Cup in England.
Brisbane was inducted in the Player Category.
Dr. Edwards, a medium pacer and batsman played for the St. Vincent Grammar School, local Club Saints and St. Vincent and the Grenadines before taking up residence in Canada.
He became President of Cricket Canada and a member of the International Cricket Council and served in those capacities for several years.
Under his Presidency, Canada achieved One Day International status and High Performance Status.
Dr. Edwards was inducted in the category of Builder.
