Local craft producers are expected to benefit from an OAS project, which is to be formalized this week, with the signing of an agreement.
The Ministry of Tourism Sports and Culture will sign the agreement with the Organization of American States, with the aim of improving the quality of locally produced craft.
According to information from the local OAS Office, the project is entitled: Craft Enhancement and Business Planning Training to Support Human Capacity Building in the Public and Private Sectors.
The OAS says the objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of producers, to increase diversity and improve the quality of locally produced craft items.
The project will be led by St. Vincent and the Grenadines and will include participation by Grenada, Dominica, Antigua/Barbuda, St. Lucia St. Kitts/Nevis and Jamaica.
The signing ceremony is set to take place on Thursday April 24th at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room, , from ten in the morning.
