Funding for initiatives to assist local farmers to benefit from hotels and restaurants here are under way.
Executive Director of Invest SVG Bernadett Ambrose- Black was posed with questions by journalist regarding the reasons why some restaurants here do not purchase goods from local farmers.
Ms. Ambrose- Black responded by dismissing the idea that there is a problem with the ministry of Agriculture but however confirmed that there is a lack of consistency with the goods available by farmers here.
She said that the agency is working with the ministry of Agriculture along with the Centre for Enterprise Development (CED) to curb this issue.
