The Family Affairs Division in the Ministry of Social Development says activities to mark Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month have been progressing well so far.
This year the activities are being held under the theme: Let Our Voices Be Heard, Let Us Know You Care, Break The Silence.
Lou-Anne Boyde, a member of the Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month Committee, says public sensitization programs are being held with the focus on sexual abuse of children.
Miss Boyde says activities held so far include radio programmes and school visits, and the committee also plans to host a series of workshops during the month.
