Work is progressing on the reconstruction of homes that were damaged or destroyed by the floods of December 2014.
Word of this came from Minister of Housing, Montgomery Daniel, as he gave an update on the progress of the rebuilding exercise during last week’s debate on the 2014 Supplementary Estimates in the House of Assembly.
Minister Daniel said the teams are working vigorously to ensure that persons are relocated in the soonest possible time.
Minister Daniel said the unavailability of lands in the South Leeward area posed some challenge in the rebuilding process.
