Government Senator, Jomo Thomas, said recent disasters, including the devastating floods of December 24th last year, highlights the need for greater public awareness on issues relating to Climate Change.
He made the point while contributing to last week’s debate on the 2014 Supplementary Estimates in the House of Assembly.
Senator Thomas said the increase in the frequency and strength of natural disasters is a sign that the climate is becoming more unstable.
Senator Thomas pointed to the need for a bipartisan debate on climate change and related issues.
