St. Vincent and the Grenadines was on target to achieve economic growth before the country was devastated by the floods of December 2013.
This was disclosed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Camillo Gonsalves, as he contributed to debate on the 2014 Supplementary Estimates in Parliament last week.
Minister Gonsalves explained that the World Bank had projected that this country would achieve good growth for 2014.

The Supplementary Estimates presented by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves amount to 83-million 980-thousand, 800 dollars.
The funding is intended to provide for additional expenditure relating to the floods of December 2013.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is said to have sustained in excess of 350 million EC dollars in damage as a result of the trough system which caused severe flooding on Christmas Eve.
