Efforts are being made to reduce this country’s vulnerability to natural disasters through the implementation of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is implementing the project as party to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
Project Coordinator of the Biodiversity Project in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Tasheika Haynes spoke about the importance of this project during NBC’s Views on Issues Program yesterday.
She also stressed the need for a renewed commitment to the sustainable management of this country’s natural resources.
