Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar said the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) has calculated the damages and loss to the local Agricultural sector during the Christmas Disaster at a total of thirty two million Eastern Caribbean Dollars.
He made this statement while contributing to the debate on the Supplementary Estimates in Parliament today.
Minister Caesar said ALL of the sectors within the Ministry received damages.
Minister Caesar said many problems were experienced by local farmers following the disasters and these problems are continuing.
He said the Government is however continuing to work to ensure that all of these issues are addressed.
