A quantity of equipment was handed over to the National Library, Archives and Documentation Services today, to assist in addressing the needs of Persons with Disabilities.
The equipment, which is valued at 25-thousand US-dollars, was donated by the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations.
It includes computers and other equipment, to be used in the National Library Multimedia Project
Speaking at today’s ceremony, Honarary Consul to the Czech Republic, Moulton Mayers said the equipment will be used to facilitate literacy programs, braille services to the visually impaired and provide access to electronic databases for members of the public.
