Officials from the Ministry of Transport and Works say they are continuing to work on a significant number of projects in the north of the country.
Chief Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Brent Bailey tells NBC News that the Rehabilitative work on the Langley Park Bridge at Basin Hole in Georgetown has resumed and this work is progressing smoothly.
The Bridge was damaged as a result of flash floods which occurred in April 2011.
Mr. Bailey said they are also developing designs for the rehabilitation of the Caratal Bridge at Georgetown which was damaged during the flooding of December 2013.
He highlighted that they are also developing other road and bridge programs.
Mr. Bailey said a number of the projects are progressing slowly and this is because there is a need for more Engineers and Quantity Surveyors.
