The Fisheries Division was recently engaged in a week of activities aimed at strengthening the nation’s capacity in the management of Coral Reefs.
Fisheries Officer, Chris Isaacs tells NBC News that this program which took place under the Caribbean Aqua-Terrestrial Program dubbed the CATS Project from March 19th to the 27th was a huge success.
Mr. Isaacs said during this program many Vincentian professionals were trained in aspects of Reef Management.
Mr. Isaacs said they are now better equipped to conduct surveys and other programs which involve the management of Coral Reefs in the waters of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
