Today is the deadline for the submission of personal Income Tax returns to the Inland Revenue Department.
It marks the culmination of Tax Awareness Month, which is observed annually to heighten awareness on various tax-related issues.
Over the last few weeks, staff at the Inland Revenue Department have been involved in a number of activities, including training for tax payers; a workshop on PAYE; and a VAT Open Day and Exhibition.
And, The Department says it is pleased with the public’s response to the Electronic-Filing programme, which was launched in November last year.
The E-Filing system allows for individuals and businesses to file their tax returns online at etaxsvg.gov.vc.
Taxpayers can use the E-Filing system for the filing of Value Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax and Personal Income Tax.
Deputy Comptroller of Inland Revenue, Roslyn Maule urged tax payers to ensure that they file their returns by the end of the day today.
