Some 200 Vincentians are currently involved in the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme ian Farm Workers Programme, coordinated locally by the Department of Labor
That’s according to Labor Commissioner, Fitzroy Jones, who says most of the workers involved in the Programme are requested by Farmers in Canada.
Mr. Jones tells NBC News, the programme allows persons to travel to Canada to work on farms, and most of the local workers have been involved for more than 16 years.
He said most of the works return in November.
