The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital is now more equipped to carry out its services, following the handing over of a quantity of medical supplies this morning by Soroptimist International SVG.
The supplies were purchased by Vincentians Mr. and Mrs. Walter Billingy residing in the United States.
Speaking at this morning’s handing over representative of Soroptimist International, Nina Maloney provided a background on how the project was initiated.
Meanwhile … President of Soroptimist International SVG Gale Davis said Soroptimist International is a community based organization with a mandate of transforming the lives of women and girls.
She said they are confident that the contents will go a long way in improving the lives of many.
And … Minister of Health Clayton Burgin said the donation comes at an opportune time in the development of health services as the hospital was adversely affected by the December 2013 floods.
