Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves announced on Monday that more than 500 persons will be employed in the construction sector.
This as the rebuilding process gathers momentum following the devastating floods last December.
At a press conference, Dr. Gonsalves announced that many tradesmen will be employed to ensure a speedy recovery.
He said that at least ten persons will be initially assigned to one house.
Prime Minister Gonsalves assured the nation that despite the limited resources available, his government is tackling the situation at hand.
He further commended Housing Minister Montgomery Daniel and Transport and Works Minister Julian Francis along with their staff for the tremendous work that they have been doing over the three month period since the floods.
