Trinidad based air carrier CAL is said to have indicated that they want to take up routes here said Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
His remarks came at a press conference on Monday, where he indicated that Like Liat and several other regional and international airlines, CAL is experiencing financial struggles.
He however, made it clear that he has no opposition to this as he believes in fair competition.
Prime Minister Gonsalves added that if this new route by CAL brings more passengers to this country, it doesn’t necessarily means that they will be taking Liat’s passengers, it will only boost the tourism sector here.
This he said will only be beneficial to all sectors across the board.
