The Building, Roads and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) says it is continuing its work to clear the river network across the country, following the devastation caused by the December 2013 floods.
Chief Executive Officer of BRAGSA, Deidre Myers, said three months after the disaster, BRAGSA is still seeking to restore a number of rivers that were damaged by the floods.
Speaking at a News Conference yesterday, Mrs. Myers said the destruction to the nation’s rivers posed the most challenge to the organization in the recovery efforts.
Mrs. Myers said in addition to the use of significant quantities of heavy machinery, the human element played a major role in the recovery exercise.
