Communications Officer at the St. Vincent Electricity Services (VINLEC), Tamara Jobb-Sprott said they are continuing the work repair their hydroelectricity plants.
She made this statement during the Face to Face program aired on NBC Radio as part of activities to observe World Water Week.
Mrs. Jobb- Sprott said since all of their hydroelectricity plants were damaged during the disaster on Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, they have been working tirelessly to fully repair these systems.
She said currently only one of their three power stations are operational and they expect to have the others up and running soon.
Mrs. Jobb- Sprott said the quality of the water system in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is excellent and the provision of the service is very reliable and she is appealing to the public to conserve water and cherish it.
