The World Association of Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGS) is said to have been experiencing a decline in membership across its 145-member countries in recent years.
That’s according to Vice Chair of the Western Hemisphere of WAGGS, Rochelle Forde, during NBC’s Views on Issues programme on Sunday.
The discussion was held as part of activities to observe the 100th anniversary of the Girl Guides Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Miss Forde said despite the disappointing figures globally, membership in the local chapter continues to see improvements.
