The St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Association of Washington DC today made a donation of one-thousand US dollars towards the National Recovery Effort, in the aftermath of the December 2013 floods.
The donation was made to the Local Red Cross this morning.
The funds were presented by Mr. Michael Davy to Welfare Officer Ruby George-Chambers.
President of the Association Brenda Simms said the funds were part of a well-supported drive which included non-perishable food items, toiletries, clothing and medical supplies.
The drive was undertaken by Vincentians in the Washington DC area.
